CHANGE THE GAME

Autumn/Winter Catalogue 2011/12, englishdanish

We’re proud to present Change the Game’s first Autumn/Winter Catalogue. Come dive into a selection of our leadership, strategy, and educational programs.

Some programs are already familiar; others are completely new and fresh. But whether familiar or new, all our programs are shaped by and founded on the same Change the Game philosophy: to help good people and their organizations perform even better, for their own benefit as well as for the society they’re a part of.

THE CLASSICS

Reinvent your organization.

We have the strategic key our clients and organizations need when in the midst of reinventing themselves. Often the client/organization is facing an economic or innovative demise and needs to redefine its reason for being, its overall mission, its values and/or its core idea.

Turning an organization around entails “360-degree” dialogues with top management, ”new horizons” workshops with management and key employees, as well as a consolidation and implementation process during which Change the Game can assist with temporary management. We think there’s enough “business as usual” out there. So let’s create some real “business as unusual” together while we can.

Leadership on the edge – a master class (open to all)

This year, we’ll host another “Leadership on the edge” master class.

This is a four-day leadership program that’s full of theoretical and cultural insights. The program is for those who wish to develop new, challenging, and sustainable changes in their own career path and in the organization they’re a part of and for whom complex decision-making is an everyday matter. We strive to blend participants from an array of private and public companies and NGO’s.

The master class is based on Uffe Elbæk’s book ”Leadership on the edge” (Gyldendal Business) and will be hosted in Copenhagen, Malmoe, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Toronto.

Master classes outside Denmark will offer inspirational visits to local organizations, cultural institutions, and research communities belonging to Change the Game’s network.

Leadership on the edge – master class (privately-held)

Change the Game can custom develop the “Leadership on the edge” master class for internal use in a company, cluster, sector, or professional association.

Conference and event maker

From time to time, we moderate, develop, or take part in the organizing or hosting of large cultural or educational events and conferences. To this end, we often draw on our broad international network of musicians, artists, cultural personalities, and experts.

Project management

Just as we host conferences and events, we sometimes develop and execute complex projects. We’re especially drawn to those projects others deem impossible.

Lectures and half-day workshops

This year we’ll be talking about:

- Leadership on the edge – edgy leadership

- Project design and the winning concept

- Network strategy and relationship building

- Meaning, motivation, and inspiration to work

- The dancing organization: how your organization finds its rhythm

- The three P’s: People, Planet, and Profit – how to make sustainable business models profitable

- What comes from the heart reaches the heart: the secret behind Change the Game’s communication compass

- From business as usual to business as unusual: the story behind “Læsøsalt”

Typically, these lectures last from 1 to 1.5 hours, but they can be edited down to 45 minutes. They can also be combined with workshops in which participants solve practical tasks in line with the specific theme.

THE NEW

A trip to the solution lab

An intense and highly productive lab process for leaders and teams facing a concrete and complex challenge. Our work methods incorporate the exploration of cultural and social underpinnings, the identification of power relationships, the use of conflict-solving skills, and not least, the will to find the devil in the detail and the solution to the problem. Whereas the participant presents the challenge on the first day, by day five, the participant has in hand an action-oriented storyboard with concrete descriptions of recommended solutions as well as directions for turning these suggestions and ideas into reality. Change the Game’s consultants and external experts brought in to address the specific challenges will be on hand throughout to support the process and facilitate the best solution.

Get away from your desk

Together with our partners in Berlin, Hong Kong, and Toronto, we’ve developed three different “on the edge” trips. The theoretical foundation for the trips is change-management and the ability to “read the game” – politically, culturally, and socially.  Each trip will be linked to research tasks within completely different cultures, such as political backstages, grass root hotspots, and artistic outposts.

These “on the edge” trips will run from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon the week after.

Prior to each trip, a half-day workshop will be held to technically and culturally prepare participants for departure and introduce them to the Change the Game’s consultants hosting the trip. One month after each trip, a debriefing will be held to help participants link new insights to their own work situation.

The dancing organization

”The dancing organization” is a one-day teambuilding process. It’s intended for large and small organizations that wish to focus on cooperation, the motivational culture of the workplace, and job satisfaction. We will dance the day away with joy, intention, and the development of new cooperation methods.
